Kate Sillett
Director
NVQ Level 4, Behaviour Support, Safeguarding, Paediatric First Aid, Prevent, FGM and Covid-19 Awareness/Prevent Covid-19. It has always been a passion of mine to own my own pre-school, as of 2008 this became a reality and I haven’t looked back. I work with a strong, enthusiastic team where we all strive to do our best for the children in our care and their families. I bring with me many years of childcare experience and have looked after lots of children, although each child teaches me something special or amazes me with their abilities. Our aim is to offer the children a fun, safe and caring setting where they and their families feel completely at ease and cannot wait to come back the next day.

I have over 20 years experience in childcare from private nurseries, nannying, childminding, pre-schools, volunteering to travel to Japan to teach Japanese children English. I am fortunate to have 3 of my own fantastic children. I like nothing more than watching the wonderful children I get the pleasure of caring for, grow, learn and develop through the many forms of play we have on offer at pre-school. It is amazing to be part of supporting and encouraging the children to be confident individuals that are ready to start a new journey at big school.

Pre School Practitioner
I began working in childcare in 2018 through college experience and since then I have gained valuable skills across a variety of settings, including private day nurseries, preschools, breakfast and after-school clubs, as well as holiday clubs. I have worked with children ranging from 3 months to 12 years old, giving me a broad understanding of different stages of development. I enjoy caring for children and supporting their growth, particularly seeing the progress they make as they develop new skills and prepare for the next stage of their education. Childcare is something I am truly passionate about, and I find it rewarding to help children learn and thrive in a nurturing environment. I am currently Level 2 qualified and working towards my Level 3 qualification, which I am excited to complete so I can further build on my knowledge and continue providing high-quality support for children’s learning and development
